What’s happening in the coming months over at the coolest indie TV review site still running, you ask? That’s a great question – and here’s your answer(s)!

Processed Media Turns 15!
Back in June 2011, the original Processed Media made its debut (with a review of Super 8, of all things). In the 15 years since, I’ve written over 3,000 reviews, authored multiple newspaper columns, and written for more than two dozen different websites and publications along the way. It’s been a long, often unrewarding road – but it’s a journey I wouldn’t trade for anything in the world, which means its time to celebrate!
So how does one celebrate 15 years as a TV critic? By writing more about TV, duh! More Second Looks, more season reviews, more reviews of other mediums – and, as 2026 continues on, I will debut some cool new columns… including (potentially) a ranked list of my 100 favorite shows of all-time. In other words, stay tuned!

A Second Look Summer Begins
No spoilers, but it appears to be a bit of a dry summer coming up for new and returning shows (especially those worth covering episodically); to cure the doldrums, I’m cooking up a bunch of Second Looks to run throughout the spring and summer. Here’s the schedule:

Limitless – returns May 17th
(New reviews on Sundays) While I really enjoyed writing about the first two episodes of Limitless, time and schedule changes saw the series quickly fall off my viewing schedule. We’ll fix that on May 17th, when reviews resume with Episode 3. Missed out on “Pilot” and “Badge! Gun!” – well, here’s your chance to catch up!

Continuum – returns May 20th
(Season 2, new reviews Wednesdays) After a promising, uneven first season, Continuum became a much larger, more ambitious series in its second season. I haven’t watched season two since it premiered back in 2013, and I’m excited to revisit it, especially as our world inches closer and closer to its corporate dystopia. Missed season one reviews? You can catch up here!

Daredevil – begins May 22nd
(new reviews on Fridays) – After two seasons in the Disney-ified MCU, I’ve gotten the itch to go back to the beginning and explore the first three seasons of Daredevil (or at least, the very first season). Those reviews will publish weekly beginning May 22nd (11 years a month after its original debut; how time flies!) – and if there’s enough readership and interest, I’ll continue on with seasons two and three, and potentially dive into the other Marvel Netflix series in 2027.

Two Guys and a Girl – returns June 1
(Season 3, new reviews Mondays and Tuesdays) I usually try and keep Second Look series to shows that are available somewhere on the internet, whether a streaming network or something like Tubi or Pluto TV. Unfortunately, Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place has disappeared from American streaming since these reviews began – but given how cheap the DVD sets are, and how most episodes are pretty easy to find around the internet, my Second Look at the underrated turn of the century sitcom continue with the show’s transformative third season, which saw the end of the pizza place, in both presence and name alike. And if you’re catching up before season three reviews begin, I’ve got full coverage of season one and season two available.

Friends – returns July 30th
(Season 6, new reviews Tuesdays and Thursdays) With five seasons and 100+ reviews under the belt, the Friends rewatch soldiers on with a look at season six – aka The One Most People Consider The Last Good Season of the series. After a creatively resurgent fifth season, it will be interesting to see Friends push itself forward into the 21st century with its next batch of episodes.
Of course, if you missed reviews of season three, season four, or season five, those are all available in the archives – and after season six reviews finish, I’ll be rewriting and rerunning the reviews of season one and season two to unify the series under one proverbial roof, before we head into reviews of the final four seasons.

Spider-Noir Episode Reviews
The only new show I currently have on the schedule (and this can change on a moment’s notice, of course) is Spider-Noir, which has a confusing dual release on MGM+ on May 25th, and its debut on Prime Video a few days later – it is also releasing in BOTH color and black & white, an incredibly strange choice for a supposed noir series to make. Regardless, I’m on board for the entire eight-episode first season, and will be publishing reviews daily, beginning with the premiere on May 25th.

More season reviews!
While I prefer episodic reviews, time and age only allow me so many productive hours in the day – which means it’s time to add more full-season reviews into the mix! Shows I’m watching/will be watching that will probably see full reviews of include: Running Point and The Hunting Party‘s second seasons (look for those this week), Man on Fire, Mating Season, Not Suitable for Work, Cape Fear, Avatar: The Last Airbender season 2, and Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness. The timing of publishing on said reviews may vary based on screener availability, but I’ll be digesting them all and sharing my thoughts somewhere on them all this summer.

Game/Film Reviews
While Processed Media’s love for TV is deep and immeasurable, I still hold plenty of space for games and film coverage (when time allows it). For the digital pleasures, I’m hoping to have reviews of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, and Splatoon Raiders up at some point this summer (time permitting, of course).
Also, after a bit of a hiatus from covering films, summer 2026 is full of movies that pique my critical interests – and though I can’t guarantee I’ll cover all of The Mandalorian & Grogu (which looks incredibly mid), Scary Movie, Toy Story 5, The Odyssey, Supergirl, Jackass: Best and Last, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and Coyote vs. Acme over the summer, you can certainly count on at least a few of these appearing on the site during the summer months.
